Gathers a variety of recipes for quick and easy foods such as spaghetti primavera, vegetable curry, poached chicken, and chili con carne This description may be from another edition of this product.
This cookbook is great because it gives a reprieve to the cook after a busy day. I particularly liked the chapter that has food with quick preparation, then a 45 minute break as it cooks. That gives a person time to be with the family, (or relax alone), before completing the meal. That break is particularly important for mothers who have children as kids need quality time to talk about their day. And sometimes the demands of dinner make it difficult for a parent to do everything she (or he) wants. There are also other short cuts to making life less hectic at dinner time. And other times - such as snacks and food for the family when you aren't there. One chapter describes how someone else (older child or spouse) can begin easy preparation, and the cook finishes the dinner when she comes home (you know it is usually the mother). And of course the recipes are great - and the humor. This book would have gotten more stars if there were colored photographs and illustrations.
