Not about an amusing cat.

From the cover illustration, I thought the story would include an amusing cat. Something like Rita Mae Brown's Mrs. Murphy. Not a bit. The only thing the cat did was to use a neighbor's flower boxes as a litter box which annoyed her. The story involves four women who solve crimes. I liked the story itself fairly well; the characters not so much.
