Amazing Read..... A Keeper!!

This book was great from beginning to end. It was a fast read, and so entertaining that I couldn't put the book down. The story starts off with an immortal king named Pacal. He is telling his wife a "love story". A story the reader quickly learns is about SinJin and Tamara. SinJin is an archaeologist that has been spending years looking for the tomb of Shield Jaguar, once king of Pacal. He is obsessed with Pacal; nothing else matters to him...until he meets Tamara. Dr. Tamara Martin has heard the rumors about him, that he is a "beast". His attitude is dark, mysterious. She heard the rumors that his wife wanted to leave the jungle, but he refused, because Pacal came first, and his wife ended up dying there during childbirth. But Tamara is not going to let that bother her because she has a job to do, she is going to be his assiatant. She loves archaelogy and has studied it for years, she is more than qualified to be his assistant. And if he finds the Tomb of Pacal, being his assistant will further her career. Their attraction for each other is immediate. He wants to send her home when he finds out she is a woman, but Tamara ends up proving her archaelogy skills to him and he decides he really needs her. She sets off to seduce him when she finds out that sexually flirting with him unnerves him. She quickly discovers he's more than willing, and that is when the sexy dialogue begins with SinJin and Tamara. I just loved the things he said to her, he was amazing. And on top of their budding relationship someone is out to destroy SinJin's career and hurt Tamara. This book was amazing. I loved SinJin's vulnerability when it came to Tamara. He loved her so much, so much so that she came before Pacal. This book really tugged at my heart. It is a must read!

Mayan Nights - Story within a story

You definitely don't to miss reading this one - steamy romance, mystery and danger, a tomb with a curse, and a touch of the paranormal. I read this when it first came out as an ebook and have highly enjoyed many other stories from this author since. The book starts out with the "story within the story," told by they Mayan king - I loved the way the "two stories" were interweaved. You are pulled in right from the beginning, and stay interested right to the end. Sinjin is on an archaelogical dig in Mexico, searching for the lost tomb of an ancient Mayan king. He's sexy and masterful, but gruff and demanding, and drives all his assistants away. Tam is sent to be his newest assistant. She thinks he's arrogant, and is determined he won't drive her away, yet there is an instant, lusty attraction between them. Tam quickly decides she wants an affair with the professor despite his testy personality, he's just too hot! She's sure she can win him over easily with her flirting and sets out to tempt him. Sinjin quickly becomes obsessed with her, despite being leery of women because of a past rejection, and rises to her challenge, playing the game back. And though Sinjin keeps telling himself it's just lust, he can't help admiring Tam's knowledge and realizing she shares his passion for the ruins, and finds himself in danger of falling for her . As they work together, Sinjin and Tam start hearing a "voice" at the tomb's site, and real danger arises from an unknown enemy. The suspense continues through to the paranormal ending.

I read this when it was an ebook......

and am so glad to see it in print. Tbis is a fantastic story, romantic, sensual, exciting. The reader will for sure want to read more stories from Ciar Cullen and I hope that her fan group grows and grows. I've known her and her work for a couple of years now and it always excites me when she has a new story out. Ms Cullen always gives her reade great entertainment, good plot, wonderful characters. Time reading her stories is time very well spent.

Sensuality blends seamlessly with the supernatural

I enjoyed this book as an ebook and again now in print. Unlike some books in this genre that seem to be more paranormal than erotica or vice versa, with uneasy transitions between the two, this book flows smoothly like the rest of the author's offerings. A true pleasure to read!
