Maxwell Sackheim's Billion Dollar Marketing (1996) This book is in excellent condition! A great read for the serious business man/marketer. Buy with confidence and enjoy! Thank you! This description may be from another edition of this product.
Max Sackheim was the driving force behind Book Of The Month Club, which is still in operation today. He wrote ads like, "They Laughed When I Sat Down At The Piano, But When I Started To Play!" and, "Do You Make These Mistakes In English?" ...which ran for an astonishing forty years. You will find them all in this book. I have heard from several sources that the best way to learn copywriting is to simply copy - pen in hand - the best ads you can find, over and over again. You will find no better ads to copy than the ads you will find in this book. The only reason I did not give this book five stars was it did not examine Sackheim's copy in detail, studying the deep psychology beneath the words. Some of the best later books and courses on copywriting do. But this may not matter if you simply follow the "copying" technique to learn copywriting. Above all, this book is a look into the mind of this pioneering giant of advertising.
