I loved this book. Still relevant even after 20 years. I found it at a used book sale for one dollar and couldn't put it down. It inspires you to push your body to it's highest potential and exactly how to do so. If you are interested in improving the body (subsequently mind and spirit are connected and will follow)aspect of your "mind/body/spirit" then read this book.
Intensity is the key!

This is an excellent book for the serious or the weekend athlete or someone who works-out. It's not a book of follow my 12 week progarm, but for an experienced fitness practioner. It's insights, tips, and guides about strength, endurance, flexibility and how to achieve your best are very useful. Writing is very conversational and it's anecdotal examples give you the feel he is talking to you. In short, the book gives you the key to better performance--intensity, specificity, and consistnecy. Nothing new--but how many practice all three!
