Great Listening

The Mates, Dates series is really enjoyable to listen to or read. It's about teenagers in London, but I'm a 45 year old who enjoys the adventures of these youths. This particular episode is appropriate for anyone who over thinks what people might be thinking about them, and how one should strive to be one's self, always. I like Cathy Hopkins' style and language.

Life of London and Girls

Mates, Dates, and Designer Divas is about many things. To start, Nesta falls in love with Simon. Then his sister's friend Cressida acts snobby toward her. After that she soon finds out she can't spend money on riding gear for horseback riding with Simon. Simon is rich and wealthy and Nesta was rich and soon found out she might loose everything. Read the book to find out why. This book is a very good book. Some good things about Nesta could be she is nice, she has good friends, and she doesn't let people bring her down. Some bad thoughts about her could be that she can be selfish, she always gets what she wants, and if she doesn't she whines. The lesson of the story would be don't let people bring you down. I found this out when Izzie and Lucy were talking with her about Simon. All in all, I think Mates, Dates, and Designer Divas is a very good book and if you like chick flicks; you should read it.

really good series!!

This is the third book in the Mates, Dates series and it is about Nesta. In this book, she meets a boy named Simon on the train back from vacation and they start going out. She fiinds out he is rich and since she isnt at the moment, she thinks he wont like her and she finds she keeps wanting things that she cant have. His sister has friend who is all flirty with him and mean to Nesta, and Nesta wants to get her out of the picture. Nesta overhears her saying really mean stuff about her and Simon's sister gets mad at her for it and starts being nice to Nesta. To find out how Nesta deals with everything, read the book!!

Fun!

I love this whole series! This particular book was good though. So these books aren't life-changing or anything, but they're just fun to read. If you want a light read, buy this book. Teenage girls can really relate to Nesta and her friends. You always get the idea that Nesta is perfect, but we find out that she's not. Plus, because it's written by an English author they're really funny. These books have a good lesson in the end as well. Have some fun and read all the books in the Mates, Dates Series!

Her dad is a director, so he only gets money when he's working. Nesta is worried that they won't have enough money to buy things. Even worse, Nesta met a guy named Simon who lives in the richest part of London. How can she compete with his and his friends rich lifestyle? Cressida is one of Simon's friends. She has all of the designer clothes and as much money as she could want. how can Nesta compete with that? Nesta wants all new things, but her mother won't let her because they have to save on money. Nesta desperately wants Simon to like her. She's worried about Cressida though. Cressida is a mean rich girl who only cares about herself and ruining Nesta's life. She disapproves of everything Nesta does or wears. Nesta is having a hard time fitting in with their lifestyles. Can Nesta stay friends with them? Will her family's money situation be ok? Mates, Dates, and Designer Divas was a fun, exciting book to read. It is perfect for teen girls because it is extremely realistic. It is a book that you won't be able to put down. This is definitely a page turning book, you won't want to put it down. t relates to every teen girl about falling in love and not being able to get what you want. this book is perfect to read when you are bored. I recommend this book to every teenage girl. It's great realistic fun!
