Season 3 Downton

I can't believe that for $4 I got this wonderful series to watch! It will be a classic, Masterpiece Theater outdid themselves! Julian Fellows is a great story teller and he didn't disappoint with Downton Abbey. The music is great, the acting is great, no swear words is great(tho this is definitely not kid stuff!) It is happy, sad, funny, fun, interesting, historical, beautiful scenery and filmed in Highclere Castle as Downton. The Crawley family are the owners of the estate and their lives take twists and turns along with a look at Iife downstairs where the servants prepare dinners, mend clothes, gather. Their quarters are several flights up the backstairs, each having a nice room. It is all very engaging, always moving in an unexpected direction. Dealing with the things of the times in early 20th century England including WW1 & Spanish flu, economic uncertainty, changing times into a new semi modern era. It takes history seriously & masterfully weaves thru it with the huge mansion as the centerpiece. Great stuff! Wonderfully done!
