A great introductory programming book

Eighteen years ago, I was hoping to learn computer programming. A bunch of people from our local BBS community recommended this book. I read it and learned a lot. I recently found it while cleaning out my basment.. I'd say that there are still sections in this book that are relevant to today's programming world.
