An excellent book for CFM programmers.

I have waited a long time for a clear and complete book on working with Cold Fusion to be published. Unfortunately few authors have written books about using this programming language. This is the first publication that is worth reading from beginning to end. If you follow the easy how-to guide of this book you will rapidly master CFM language. Before buying the CFM application construction books by Ben Forta, which I highly recommend, read this book. It will help you better understand any further litterature.

Excellent learning book!

This book is very thorough in explaining Cold Fusion Application development, is very readable and has many valuable tips covering the usual syntax questions that a user commonly asks in learning to write Cold Fusion. I highly recommend it to beginners or experienced user reviewing. This should be the first book any new Cold Fusion developer reads. I recommend it highly.

A Practical Guide to Internet Development with ColdFusion

I have used several ColdFusion books and this is the most practical guide to internet development that I have found. Other books that I have used are better for intranet development or are better for applications which will be used by people with a lot of computer experience. This book, however, touches on error correction and accomodating user error at the same time that it covers functions. It also covers functions in an order that is practical for web development. The examples given are typical internet applications, allowing easy translation to commonly used functions. It also has an index which lists the pages for practical functions, like text-formatting, much better than other books. If you need a quick start in internet development, this is the book that can help you.

Well Written and Excellent Examples and Solutions

This book covers a great deal of material with excellent examples and real solutions to coldfusion development. Many solutions to problems I had when first developing in ColdFusion were covered in this book. I have both of Forta's books which are good resources, however, this book provides much more illustrations and examples of how developers can use the code. This book is for beginners and experienced users of ColdFusion

Excellent beginning/intermediate reference

I have both of Ben Forta's books and like them a lot. I'm the type of person that buys any book that looks good on a program I use all the time so I ordered this one and I'm glad I did. Although there were the usual disappointing typos (that all computer books seem to have), I found this book to be a worthwhile reference. Some topics are explained in more depth and in different ways than Ben Forta's book which is very helpful. If you already own the other CF books, the fact that the tag reference is on the CD is actually a benefit, since more of the book is dedicated to actual information and examples. Highly recommended, especially for beginners.
