Just What I Was After

I picked this book because I wanted a story about the Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon dynamic, and I was not disappointed. We get to see their early relationship with its ups and down and growth, and that is given good attention without anything being taken away from the plot. The storyline is exciting, with breaks in the action for political intrigue. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are well-rounded out and explored, but the other characters are fleshed out enough to be interesting and entertaining too. Master And Apprentice has the vibe of one of Jude Watson's Jedi Apprentice stories (which I loved when I was younger), but with the added complexities of a story for older readers. That was exactly what I was looking for and exactly what I got. I'll definitely be re-reading this one. (And Alice X. Zhang is one of my favorite artists, which has nothing to do with the story, but I was very excited to see her credited as the cover artist!)

Very fun

I recently got big back into star wars and this book was a fun read. I've been having trouble getting back into reading lately but this book had a nice balance of familiar and new characters as well as an intriguing plot that had no trouble keeping me entertained. If you're into star wars at all, I would definitely recommend this book!

The book contains an amazing action-packed story with likable characters. Some of the plot twists will leave you shocked.
