Great look at Mary and her world

Beautiful little book that helps the reader imagine the world in which Mary was living when the angel came to her. Through many illustrations and expansive, but accessible narrative, the text explores Mary's life as the mother of Jesus and her profound presence in Christian tradition. As a devotional aid as well as a tool for catechesis, this is a delightful study. I use it myself and also like to pass along copies to friends.
