The Best!

SMS needs to hire 6 baby sitters to build a playground. But there is a problem. There are 9 baby sitters. Mary anne finally stood up to tomboy Kristy and challenged her on traveling abroad if she was planning to take a playground job in Stoneybrook. Now the fight is getting more serious by the minute. It's Abby, Stacey, Kristy vs. Mary anne and Claudia. as usual near the ending, they all apologize to each other at the ending. But still Kristy, Abby, stacey still travel abroad.

The Best Mary-Anne Book!

Mary-Anne was one of the more appealing characters. I like the way she finally stood up to bossy, big mouthed Kristy and challenged Kristy on traveling abroad if she was planning to take a playground job in Stoneybrook. Armed camps square off -- it's Abby, Stacey and Kristy vs. Claudia and Mary-Anne. Don't worry, folks, it all gets sorted out in the end. Kristy in typical fashion runs off at the mouth and insults everybody. By the penultimate chapter, apologies are abound and the story is neatly concluded with everyone being friends again. (And yes, Abby, Stacey and Kristy DO travel abroad while the others remain stateside). A light, entertaining read.

Intriguing view on competition...

Mary Anne, who hates confrontation, is embroiled in a heated arguement over playground jobs. In the part where Kristy is arguing and tells Mary Anne to butt out, Logan shouldn't have butted in and snapped at Kristy. Mary Anne doesn't need Logan to fight her battles. If I were Mary Anne, I would have told him to butt out! Of course, Mary Anne's too polite for that, but I bet she was seething inside. It was good, though, that the BSC didn't let the arguement destroy their friendship and each one took responsibility for her part in the fight. That's why the BSC have a friendship that will last forever and ever...and a lifetime.

Anything can come between friends, but friendship is true.

SMS is looking for playground counselers and the BSC is best for the job.But there's only six jobs with nine BSC memebers trying out.A trip to Europe! Everyone wants to go,but is the playground job more important than the trip to Europe? The BSC is fighting over the playground job and have to decide which is more important, their friendship, the playground job or the trip to Europe.Who's going to get the jobs and will the BSC stop fighting and what about Europe? Great book you'll love it!!!!

One of the Best!

MARY ANNE AND THE PLAYGROUND FIGHT was one of the best BSC books I have read. I liked the plot - The members need money for their class trip to Europe. There will be a playground camp opening which needs counselors. There are six slots open - and all nine BSC members are applying! The competition turns fierce as the members battle it out! At the end, everything works out between the friends. Meanwhile, Victoria Kent is moving back to Britain and Dawn is back for the summer.
