Lois Ehlert is one of the most creative and inspiring children's writers. She can awaken children's curiosity through her incredible masterpieces. Parents can easily spend ten minutes on every page. Ehlert has an endless imagination and can create beautiful images with everyday objects. As a child care specialist, I recommend her books be in every children's library.

Rhyming fun

My four-year-old daughter is fasinated by the simple rhyming text and bright folk art pictures of this book. I think younger children would likewise enjoy it. We also like to read all the countries of origin for the various folk art pieces at the back of the book.
