Emotional and full of Faith!

Crystal has created an excellent teaching tool. She identifies personal experiences and links them to a growing faith. She demonstrates how we can grow in faith even under tradgic situations as long as we have hope and belief in God. I will read this book a number of times because it brings one back to reality and the nead for God in our lives. Thanks Crystal for a great book. God gave you a tremendous gift. Mike Fielding

Encouraging

Crystal does an incredible job of taking us through her journey of faith, fear, and hope. It is so encouraging to see the good that came out of the Columbine tragedy, the author does a great job of relating that to the trials and tribulations that we all face in life. I strongly recommend anyone (especially young people) to pick up this book and be encouraged by it!

A Moving Read

Though not my normal type of read, I found this book to be both interesting and moving. Simply and clearly written, it expresses the author's spiritual journey without the heavy-handedness common when trying to express change that, by definition, mostly happens internally and does not easily lend itself to explanation. More than once while reading it, I was brought to tears, but the overall impression is of hope and passion for life. The author is courageously open about the less flattering phases of her journey and talks about her faith without being cloying. For anyone who has wondered how the students at Columbine dealt with their survival, this is an intimate picture of one person's answer, which also offers a unique perspective on how we all deal with tragedy, no matter how great or small the degree. Whether you are conventionally religious or not, this book will make you think and feel, and reading it will leave you, in some way, changed for having shared the author's experience.

Nothing But Hope

I bought this book because I wanted to read how someone could live through tragedy and come out on the other side to be able to write about it and not just write about it but with so much hope. I was very encouraged as I read this book. It reminded me of how gracious God can be with our hurt hearts. Also it is a great book for younger people who have gone through hard times and are faced with choices in their lives as a result from it. Way to go Crystal, thanks for sharing your story!!

Hope Encountered

How people can come out of the depths of very dark places and very hard times has always seemed a mystery to me. Divorce, Death, Abuse, tragedy, etc.. it always poses more questions than answers. In this Book "Marked For Life," Crystal Woodman Miller talks about her own personal "dark" places and how she came to trust in better days. It is very encouraging to enter into someone's journey as they search for new hope and new life after tragedy strikes. What a journey it is. Be blessed and encouraged as you read "Marked For Life."
