My namesake

I love this book not only because my mom got my name from it, but also because I love the main character Mara. She has a vibrant personality but can be snottey too. She comes up from the depths of poverty and faces situations that most people can hardly imagine having to go through. She ends up at the top of the world in racing cars but has to work hard to get there. It is a complete page turner and after reading it 5 times I still enjoy sitting down to it.
