Great book down to the very last page

I just finished this book and it was great. Very suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat to the very last page. I have read some of the other historical fiction type books(Da Vinci-Angels and Demons-The Templar Legacy) and this ranks right up at the top. A trek all through the mediterranean and history too. Great read for the summer pick this on up you wont be disapointed and might learn a few things too.

Adventure, Mystery, and More!

WOW! I could not put it down. It has a wonderful combonation of a "Mission Impossible" movie mixed in with the "Da Vinci Code", and even a little sexual tension between a couple of the characters. It hooks you right from the begining with shocking brutality brought on by the Dragon Court, a secret alchemist society still around today, during a church service which leads to the threat of Armageddon. The book is always fantastically suspenseful and unfolds wonderfully. The author doesn't go into too much detail about the personal lives of the characters prior to their teaming up for their historical-scientific-supernatural adventure. Yet after they start their adventure you are so enthralled by the events started into play by the Dragon Court that it never crosses your mind again. The Sigma team works seamlessly together to work out ancient clues left behind to an ultimate treasure using science and a knowledge of ancient and religious history. It never leaves you wanting. The historical details are fascintating and draw you deep into story, while the scientific answers to these historical riddles make it all seem realistic. I've heard this book is the first of a series to come, and I already hunger for the next one.

Thrill Ride

What a fun read this was! Non-stop from the beginning. I don't think I put the book down for 3 days. Great characters, great plot and just an all around fun page turner.

Rollins best yet!

I agree with an earlier reviewer, this is the best James Rollins yet (Even better than sand storm which was very good). For mixing thrills, adventure, and mystery Rollins is a master and he is at his best with "Map of Bones". The story starts when an army of masked intruders invade a service at a cathedral in Colone Germany. Dressed in monks clothes they gun down worshipers and clergy in a horrifying blood bath. They have not come for the chuches treasures of artwork or gold, but for the bones of the three Maji who once payed homage to the baby Jesus. withthis prize they plan to change the world! The Vatican is shocked, unsure of how to react. A secret arm of the US defense department is called in to try and unravel the mystery behind the stolen bones. The investigators are lead into an unknow world of ancient secrets and terrifying realities not seen since the begining of time. Imagine this novel as a cross between the Da vinci Code, Cussler's dirk pitt novels, and the best of Tom Clancy. If you like adventure this is the book for you! And if you like this book you better check out "A Tourist in the Yucatan." Amazing thriller/adventure!A Tourist In The Yucatan
