excellent review book

I bought this book as it was recommended by one of the cardiology fellows at a place I went for an interview. He said that is everything I need as a first year fellow in cardiology. There are bigger and more comprehensive books but anyway you don't have time to read me the first year. I bought the book an so far I am pretty delighted about it. It covers all major sections in cardiovascular diseases including details like types of catheters for angio and gross descriptions of procedures. I think it is a very handy source for quick reference as a first year fellow. When I am 2nd year fellow Iplan to buy Braunwald of course.

Very Good

One of the very good book for residents interested in Cardiology. Detailed point by point explanation on most needed topics. Good handbook even for Cardiology fellows. But new edition is coming soon. So wait.

"pocket" refrence

This is a great reference for first year cardiology fellows. Gives the basics of all you need to know, then you can read more in-depth in your "free time."

Brilliant text suitable for all levels

This comprehensive text of cardiovascular medicine is useful for both student and doctor alike. It presents clear, succint information about all major elements of cardiovascular medicine - well presented in easy to find sections. It divides the topic along the lines of acute vs chronic and also discusses complaints based on their anatomical location (e.g. diseases of aorta and pericardium). There is also a comprehensive section on procedures and tests. All in all a very useful addition to anyone's library.
