Yes, it's true. The mechanical errors in this book were heinous, but the information is beyond noteworthy. I had no trouble understanding the writing, and making the distinction between fact and opinion is hardly a bewildering task as some would have you believe. You simply can't get this information anywhere else, and the man knows his stuff. I highly recommend this text as a valuable research tool on the subject of the Manson family. It's simply fascinating.
Incredible research and detail

Yes, yes, there are spelling errors, but get past them and you have a book filled with fully researched details on the Manson clan and those who survived the brainwashings. Everyone is here, with facts on the Mansons' recent lies and the killers' recent activities. Bill Nelson (along with Vince Bugliosi) is the authority on the Mansons, and even if this book did not get properly proofread, it's a great read and, I have to say, a must-have for those interested in the case!
Interesting content, but please--get literate!

My one-line summary, above, captures what I have to say about this book. Indeed, what is in it is VERY fascinating, but how can anyone let something that badly written and edited go to print??? I'm a little shocked at Nelson's comment that those who criticize the book's editing are "devil worshippers." (What could he possibly mean by claiming that? It makes him sound less than sane.) Maybe they were just LITERATE.... Anyway, I do appreciate the contribution of his content to this ever-fascinating subject.
Nothing really like this angle.

"Received my book - about 3/4 through it. It's everything I thought it would be! Plus, it was needed! Nothing really like this angle (investigative) presented by your book has been attempted." J. P. North Carolina
I am concerned for the safety of the author.

"I received my copy of Manson Behind The Scenes today. I have read six chapters including Bruce Davis and William Garretson. The Davis chapter was illuminating and disturbing, in the fact that I am concerned for the safety of the author! The Dedication in the book was beautifully done." S.P.
