the evolution of consciousness.

Pere Pierre Teilhard de Chardin is both a religious man and a scientist. This book examines mans evolution from a Darwinian perspective and yet also brings in the social and conscious aspects to the argument. Rather than just brute strength, as means of adaption and survival, the development of consciousness and even more so a collective consciousness and social behaviour, explained, and brought into the theory of evolution. Also explores what is in man's future. My own personal theory which is similar-man's next evolution is as Homo Socialis as we will become finally social man. Connected, One. A tough read and a very scientific approach that also brings in the mystical life.
