Many countries in the world and Africa in particular have sanitation systems which are not functional due to lack of full capacity of operation and management, after they are installed. This work helps to propose methods on how to manage collective systems and how to ensure the areas around them are environmentally friendly. Most propositions could be a possible breakthrough on how the said systems could be effectively and sustainably managed. Collective systems are less costly if effectively managed.
