I have long admired Richard St. Barbe Baker for his vast international work in planting trees in 108 countries as well initiating both saving the Redwoods and initiating the Civilian Conservation Corp. His first book is no longer published, so excerpts from his writings in the next best. This book contain a comprehensive selection of what Richard St. Barbe is all about. You get a good feel for such an important person in the field of natural resource protection.
