Came damaged

It came damaged which wouldn't be a problem if it came with all the pages to I could fix it but it didn't. Also I was expecting it not to be in perfect condition but at least good condition but no it came with some of the pages falling out as soon as I got it. Not sure if it was like that to begin with or it happened in the mail but I assume it was like that to begin with cause the first few pages were not there as I said before.

Nice and easy.

Mamotte! Lollipop is an alright manga series! In Lollipop, a girl named Nina swallows the "Christal Pearl" that is being used in the "Magical Exam" for prospecting wizards. They must find and protect the pearl until the end of the exam, which is 6 months long. Nina is hunted down by many examinees who want to get the pearl one way or...the other, but she is always protected by two "cute guys" named Zero and Ichii. (I like Zero more than Ichii.)It is a definite shojo, but, at least give it a try. Here's the pro's and cons of Lollipop: Well, first of all, is it shojo fluff most of the time? Well, yes, and does it have sickeningly adorable characters in illistrations that are too cute wearing frilly things? Sometimes...yeah. And is it a *gag* "torn between two guys" romance? Yes, yes it is. So, why's it worth reading? Personally, I'd say that if you over-analyze things and can't really suspend reality, then ,this series isn't for you. It's great for taking breaks from serious stories, and just to perk up on a bad day in general. The storyline is actually pretty good when you get into it...and in later volumes it shows you backgrounds of the characters that are actually pretty serious/sad. It's mostly light-hearted though, so if you're the type who wants drama everywhere, then this is a no-no. But, it has many redeeming qualities. Like, the art is always of good quality, and it's actually pretty, which is a plus. So, if you want a humorous, light-hearted manga with beautiful artwork and some serious moments, then, what are you doing reading this? Buy it already! P.S. This is Ray's daughter! :)

Cute & silly is all you need

Be prepaired to just have fun with this one. It's not for the thinking person, but it can be used as break from more serious manga. A lot of the silly plot-devices serve as a mechanism for the reader to fall in love with the characters, the author's pride and joy. Contrary to other reviews here, Mamotte! Lolipop does have some solid storytelling as you read along. In both Volume 2 and 3 there are some heart-warming and slightly tear-jerking stories about the different characters. You can almost say those parts redeem Lolipop from all the silliness it oozes. After volume 2, I decided I really liked Lolipop. The strong points are the cuteness and the odd-ball cast. The mood of which reminded me of Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura from oh-so-many years ago (yes, the Takahashi of Inu Yasha and Ranma fame). The manga-ka(artist) is Michiyo Kikuta who used to work as an assistant to Pink Hanamori's Pichi Pichi Pitch!. As far as I am aware, Lolipop is Kikuta's first major serial manga. To her credit Kikuta knows what she's producing with Lolipop; cute silliness, without a slight bit of pretentousness. I also find that in Lolipop the artwork is more solid and consistant in quality compaired to Pichi Pichi Pitch!(the art quality in Pichi varied a lot). At the end of each volume, I end up wishing I had more. For that reason alone I recommend this to others :)

Love it!!!! :o) :o)

This book is great. I just love it. It is about this girl who ate a little pearl. Now I just said too much and don't listen to the person who had the long review. THE BOOK IS GREAT!!!!!

A refreshing spring time read

I liked the plot for the story and the characters. The whole thing was really just easy and nice to read and I plan on getting the rest of the volumes. The only problem I have with it is that the start of the story was a little confusing to me at first to understand but that is just a small part of the series and book,so all in all I think the story and the drawings are perfect!
