Inspiring book

This book is very well written and inspirational. It has put many of my college experiences in perspective, and I look forward to implementing many of Combs' strategies. I definitely recommend this title to any college student, or recent graduate.

impressed by Combs's values

(this review is of the 3rd edition) I picked this book up at the career counselor office at Rutgers. I felt as though I was meant to find this book. At the core, Combs professes great values: do what you love, don't stop believing in yourself, be proactive, well roundedness is more important than amazing grades. Good ideas on how to make yourself look better in interviews such as finding articles and joining organizations (he mentions national organizations, but others can be just as great). For someone entering or still in college, this is a great book to read, especially for business oriented students, but still great for anyone else (I'm a math major with interest in psychology and outdoor camps/experiential learning).

The best of the best self-help books out there!

Wow! I don't know where to start about this book. Major in Success is such a power tool to help ANYONE (not only college students!) to look for their dream job. I don't know where else I would be without these helpful tips, practical reasonings, and great feedback from people who ALREADY made it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who are chasing after their dreams but are too shy too. It made a difference in me and I think it would definitely make a difference in you! Here's the big plus: The author is donating 100% of the profits to charities. Not only are you helping yourself, you are helping the world too!

This is an awesome book, good for any college student or anyone who is searching for their purpose in life. I had the opportunity to see the author speak and he knocked me off my feet. Powerful ingformation for anyone who wants to assist themselves.

It not only tells you what incredible things you can do to get your dream job, but it also gives you the nuts and bolts you need to make your dreams come true. It gives you phone numbers and web sites and addresses to get you closer to your dreams. Best of all, Major in Success kept me entertained, interested, and even laughing, the whole way through.Major in Success is different than anything I'd read before because it is written for college students and is practical, helpful. And I love the way it is laid out with fun things like, entertaining cartoons, inspirational quotes, and hot tips. This book was written by a young guy who's very successful and knows what he is talking about- he knows what works and what doesn't work because he's experienced it. Patrick loaded it full of stories about college students who got great jobs. All these stories made me realize that ordinary people do extraordinary things. It truly gave me a whole new level of belief in myself and in what I could do. This book changed my life- it could change your life too!
