Delightfully Loopy Heroine

In Magic Moments, Nicki, an amateur magician specializing in card tricks, meets a shy mystery boy at a party and decides she likes him. The fact that he is also a magician (an illusionist),that he has the tendency to fly off without explanation, not to mention the difference in their personalities, make for some confusion and heartache for Nicki, and some entertaining moments for the reader. Nicki tells the story herself, in the first person, and recounts her pursuit of said mystery boy, now named Perry. Her perspective is very entertaining, and our delightfully insane heroine gives an honest telling of her own jumping to conclusions and wavering between feelings of like and fear of rejection. Her being a flighty froot loop to his closed-off and taciturn yet dreamy guy make for some pretty entertaining stuff. Could a relationship between these two even work? Even if it might not, just getting there is entertaining enough.
