Nikon D40

The book is difficult for me to understand, however, I believe this is due to my total lack of knowledge of photography terms. The Nikon D40 is a difficult camera for the novice to understand unless using the point and shoot options. I have been reading and rereading the book, and the knowledge is gradually coming through. The book is much better than a DVD I purchased on the same subject.

Lantern Guide to Nikon D40

I have found the Magic Lantern guides very very helpful over the years and this one is no exception. Highly recommended.

Great field guide!

This guide fills out the missing pieces the D40 instruction manual left out. I gave it a quick skim through to get an over view of the advanced functionality of my camera. Now I take it with me when I'm shooting... to look up tricks and tips to get the right shot in the field. Highly recommended!

This book is a great help in learning to operate this camera. I have two D-40's in my household and the Magic Latern Book is a "must". I consider it a "staple" in my photography.
