An apt metaphor for the Cold War rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union

The regular "Spy vs. spy" feature of Mad Magazine has always been my favorite feature. It is a lampoon of the cold war where each nation engaged in a tit-for-tat relationship of deception, dishonesty and betrayal. One spy is dressed in all-black and the other in all-white, butt other than that there is no distinction in their behavior. Their battle went on year after year with destruction and no end in sight. All of this made the feature an apt metaphor for the cold war rivalry. This book contains some of the best examples of this entertaining feature, so if you are like me and enjoy the spoof, you will enjoy it as much as I did.
