You go girl!

A brave women indeed..To put on the back burner the unknown potential aftermath that the publication of this book could have brought to love ones and friends. Ms Weinstein opens up her private world to both those who are legitimate readers, and those who are only thrill seekers looking between the pages for x rated moments. Sorry to the latter! This book was honest, open and a just chronicle of a man who took advantage of not only his investors, but those he claimed to be as friends. If a man was to write this book he would be acclaimed for using it as a medium to speak for all the devastated victims. A women writes a book and she is labeled as vindictive. Do we only claim equal rights and opportunities when the "shoe fits"? As for Bernard,I'm waiting for his critique. Unfortunately for him you can't change history, Ms Weinstein has so accurately penned it into print.

Everywoman

There was something in almost every chapter that reminded me of my own life. The good times, the bad choices, the missed opportunities. This is a book intended for women. Unfortunately the media has focused in on a few 'small areas' and either forgot to read the rest or searched to find the 'good' parts. This is a really great read and the author truly reveals herself. She's brave because by trying to help her family she's exposing herself. Sounds like somebody who would be a good friend.

Monday Morning Quarterbacking

For the reviewers who are "Monday Morning Quarterbacking," many many innocent and intelligent people got caught in this dreadful Ponzi scheme. So don't blame the author for having been caught as well, losing all her savings. I found the book entertaining and insightful as to the character of Madoff.

Insightful and Revealing!

It was a great read and we finally get an understanding of Bernie's motives....He is an Egomaniac and a Consumer...what a deadly combination!

Reviewers are all very different

I really enjoyed this book, because the author is like a philosopher looking back on her life, able to merge present and past in a subtle and engaging way. Unlike other reviewers who take the superficial stance that that they just wanted to read the sex parts, or that this woman is stupid or gives too much away in the narrative, are really missing the point. It's not a long book by any means, but she has only a certain amount to say and as I wondered about Madoff, I wondered about her at the same time. So I didn't cringe at the extra details. I was curious what in her own marriage made her take on an affair, and wasn't everyone curious what kind of husband would stick by this woman, knowing what he did? These questions instigated by the press are answered...I'm surprised all people might want is a bit of sexual voyeurism, after a financial scheme like this went down. I predict this event will continue to make the news for years and that this book will be one of a number of works to fill in the dimensions for us.
