a romantic adventure

Our hero, Rivlin Kilpatrick, is a man who believes in honor and finishing each job he undertakes. He is also a man haunted by demons. Our heroine, Maddie Rutledge, killed someone but it was justified. She received a bogus trial and was condemned to prison for a long time. Rivlin is the US Marshal who is suppose to escort her to another trial where she is suppose to be a witness. Along the way they learn to trust, then love. They also have to avoid being killed. Someone is after both of them for different reasons and wants them dead. I enjoyed the book because it was a new plot for me- something I haven't read before and I've read a lot of romances. I also liked it because the characters talked to each other. This was a nice pleasant story.

Excellent

Great book. Couldn't put it down. Characters were believable and likable. The plot kept you entertained. If you like romance novels that do not have a lot of silly arguing and graphic sex scenes...this is for you. This book treats the reader to an interesting plot and characters that grow fond of each other in addition to being sexually attracted to each other.

First time Leslie Lafoy reader

I was not disappointed in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Lelie Lafoy makes you feel as though you are right there in the story. You can see the scenes so clearly. The story is very different than anything I have ever read. You can really understand why Maddie does not have any hope for the future. You respect how Rivlan fights against is strong feelings for Maddie and is ethical responsibility. The obstacles that these two have to overcome makes the story that much more interesting. I really like both of them. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a wonderful romance.

Appealing read

Rivlin believes Maddie is a cold-hearted killer, but on their way from Ft. Larned, Kansas to Oklahoma, he begins to reassess his prisoner. As they struggle to survive attack after attack on them from enemies trying to keep her from testifying, Rivlin and Maddie fall in love.MADDIE'S JUSTICE is an appealing western romantic suspense that uses elements of a nineteenth century legal procedural to enhance the action and adventure. The story line is fast-aced, whether it is on the trail or looking at frontier justice. Maddie is a complete caring character while Rivlin embodies the strong lawman of that century.
