I was so happy to hear the Aruba report of Peter deVries. I'm assuming it is the same author who wrote Madder Music many years ago. I read it while on vacation, but since it was a borrowed book I had to return it. I have never regretted such a decision as much as I do this one, because I could not find it for all these years. I remember laughing so hard, it took 1/2 a box of Kleenex and 2 days to read a small paperback. The man is absolutely zany. His chapter about wanting to appear debonair is delicious. He has his wife practice setting up stories until the punch line, so that he can utter it with great verve. His imagination is on a par with Walter Mitty. Some chapters are not as good as others, but I'm delighted that I will have this in my very own library.
