This book is a wonderful little resource, just right for the lay Bible student. The book starts off with four quick chapters on the Bible (Introduction to the Bible, How We Got the Bible, How to Study the Bible, and Chronology of the Bible), and then moves into the meat. Each and every book of the Bible has its own chapter, which contains a quick introduction, author and date, key people in the book, background and setting, key doctrines (very nice), God's character in the book, Christ in the book, key words, a quick overview (really a nice outline of the book), frequently asked questions, and finally a list of questions to consider while reading the book (something to think about).Overall, I found this book to be a nice resource, just right for the non-Bible scholar, such as myself. I'm glad I got it, and I highly recommend it to all others.
