Fantastic reference book

One of the best in the wonderful Lucent series. It's a great reference book for adults,too. James Torr has thoroughly documented the differences and connections between Liberty vs. Security, Patriotism and the First Amendment, Government Surveillance and the Right to Privacy, the PATRIOT Act and the Fourth Amendment, etc. He tells the History of Civil Liberties During Wartime. Every chapter is easy to read and understand, never boring as so many books that deal with legal subjects can be. How many adults know the difference between a normal civilian court trial, a military courts-martial trial and a military tribunal? It gives the background, views (pro and con), and demonstrates why it's crucial for citizens to understand just what civil liberties are. Everything in this book is important for adults to know.
