best choice for me, although it had issues

the main issue with this book is that it had a lot of typos and errors, so that when i got a wrong answer, sometimes i couldn't be sure if it was me or the book, and it messed up my timing too. however, i looked at a lot of reviews, and it seems almost all books have errors, so considering the choices, this book was the best one for me. if you are like me, then you probably want to choose this book. i am the type of person that gets more confused than helped by memorizing all the different types of games beyond just the basics, which is why i didn't order powerscore, because people described being all confused by the details. I did feel that the setups for the games in princeton review were a bit more helpful and prescriptive than the more general ones in kaplan's. also, it might seem at first like a bad thing that the problems are not real LSAT problems, but it wasn't for me. they are very much of the same type and it offers extra practice if this is a section you struggle on (i did). DEFINITELY order official LSAT tests from LSAC. I actually found it a plus that the problems weren't real LSAT problems, because you won't find overlap when you do official tests, which could screw up an accurate measure of your score. if you have trouble figuring out why an answer is correct on your own, then that will be a minus for this book, because since there are a lot of errors, the explanations can be confusing or just plain wrong too. for me, it was mostly a matter of getting extra practice and finding a fast way to set up a game. i can usually figure out why my own answer is wrong when given the correct one, so i didn't need explanations as much. besides, figuring out why my answer was wrong was probably more useful, because it forced me to think for myself. for my own study regimen, i bought this book, all 30 of the official lsat tests published by the lsac (they are in sets of 10 and they have no explanations for answers, only the correct answers), a regular kaplan lsat book (good for general tips for all the sections), and the kaplan lsat logic games workbook (which I haven't used yet, because i got it just in case there were problems on there that weren't in the official tests. probably a waste of money.) after using this book, i would say my accuracy was up, but i was still only hitting 2 or 3 games, so my timing is still off.

Quality product

This product provides exactly what above average test takers need: Practice. It gives general guidance and then gets out of its own way and allows you to work at your own pace to tackle each section. This allowed me work on the problem types that are hardest for me and provided ample drills to improve my scores. As evidence of this my scores went from a 11/24 to a 22/24 after using this book. A massive improvement that led to much higher scores. I agree that the eiditing can be bad but I have found misspellings on actual LSAT tests as well that can lead to confusion and as such didn't mind too much. Additionally, this product is substantially less expensive than its Kaplan counterpart and is well worth the money.

Good Practice

This book does give good practice games when you don't want to waste real LSAT logic game sections. The games are really similar to real LSAT games. The only downside to this book is that the explanations are really bad and hard to understand.
