Practical and on the mark

This book is one of the most practical works on how love ought to work in the church and in life in general. DeLashmutt's work is methodical and personal at the same time, a great combination that many authors struggle with. He makes the material accessible for anyone but there's plenty of depth for the experienced Christian. If you want to move love in the church beyond the fellowship handshake on Sunday morning, here's your book.

Awesome book for those serious about body life!

This study of the "one-another" passages in the New Testament is practical, grace-oriented, and backed by decades of experience in successful ministry. Gary is a superb Bible teacher, and a pastor who loves people in exactly the ways he calls on others to love. This book is excellent for new or older Christians who need inspiration in building relationships that glorify Christ. -Dennis McCallum, author Organic Disciplemaking: How to promote Christian leadership development through personal relationships, biblical discipleship, mentoring, and Christian community

You'll Refer to it Often!!

I've had this book for many years, and go back to it time and time again. Based upon the "one Another" principles in the Bible (Love one another, Admonish one another, Serve one another, Confess to one another etc. etc.), this is an awesome reference book to help you live out a life of Christ-like relationships. It is well written and scripturally sound. Even though each of these principles work together to create a whole picture of how to love as Christ loves, each chapter stands alone so that you can go right to a topic you are interested in at any given time. A few of the many helpful topics covered: What is Bitterness, do you have it and what you can do about it. What is gossip and what isn't? How can you work through conflict in a healthy way? Great real-world material you can actually use in daily life. Love it!

Insightful and practical application

The author has done a great job providing practical insights which are truly helpful to anyone looking to extend their ability to love and serve others. Well-written and easy to read - great teaching aid as well!

Practical and powerful!

For Christians, or churches interested in putting all the "one another" passages in the New Testament into practice, this little book is a gem. A lot of practical wisdom is packed into this small package. It presents the kind of Christianity stands in sharp contrast to the televangelist glitz!
