An Anglican poet for today

It can be difficult to find a good little introduction to the 17th century priest and poet George Herbert, but Sheldrake's book fills the gap. It describes Herbert's spirituality as a way of living and a network of relationships rather than a set of abstract theories. His spirituality also concerns all aspects of human life, in a way that nowadays would be described as holistic. Recommended for its fascinating insight into the Anglican tradition as well as Christianity as a whole.
