life-changing

I discovered this book over 15 years ago. I don't know what I would think of it now, but then it really opened my eyes to why I was eating compulsively. In fact, it began a whole chain of events that eventually led to a different way of life.

A DEFINITE MUST-HAVE FOR THE FOOD ADDICT!!!

Are you addicted to food? Do you eat when no one is around to see how much? Do you think about eating all day long? Do you binge only to vomit it up later so you won't gain weight? Is there a certain food that you simply cannot give up? You just might be a compulsive overeater! This book is priceless and it's a huge shame that it is out of print. Buy it while they have it is all I can say! Based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (substituting the word "food" for "alcohol"), this is twelve week program (one step a week) to help you learn all there is to learn about yourself and the link between your life and your food addiction. It provides you with meal plans that are highly interchangeable, exercise advice, and help for your mind, body, and soul. An easy read and very informative, even for those who think they've read all there is in diet books. This is not a diet. It's a way of overcoming a valid addiction.

The Love Hunger Weight-Loss Workbook has literally changed my life. The workbook forced me to look into the issues behind Why I eat rather than What I eat. This book is an excellent tool for anyone looking to make permanent changes.

Love Hunger Helped Me Understand My Problems

I found the book "Love Hunger" extremely helpful. It helped me to better understand my compulsive eating, and gave me a realistic and healthy food plan that I could follow. When I first read this book and followed the plan, I lost 19 pounds in 9 weeks (which is what most health experts suggest). But at some point I thought I knew better than they did, and went off the plan. I'm now close to the weight I was when I first started, so I'm going back on the plan, and working the program suggested in the book. It's like anything, take what you like and leave the rest. There are some profound insights in this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who believes they may be a compulsive eater, as well as anyone who cares about a compulsive eater.
