Belinda Bauer in her ivory tower. In the German community of Poetry, Texas, Belinda spies an opportunity. The tiny town is filled with loggers and railroad men in need of wives, so she sets herself up as a marriage broker. She writes little poems to be printed in newspapers all over the country and one by one, women begin to arrive in Poetry. Theres only one problem Belinda doesnt have a clue what shes doing and all the brides marry the wrong men One client is particularly unhappy. Georg Kaufman, the local barber, has lost more than one prospective wife to Belindas fumbled attempts. For some reason, she just cant seem to find Georgs perfect match, though its not for lack of trying. Is there a poetic ending in store for Georg and for Belinda herself?
I am an avid Christian fiction reader, but never much in the romance genre. "Love Finds You in Poetry, Texas" was a complete treat. What a lovely, lively, often rollicking good story of creative marriage matches (and mismatches). It caused me to reflect on the "knowing" of love that cannot be explained to another person, and the blessings of integrity which flow in relationships. The author's weave of engaging characters and poetry is loaded with rhyme and reason that will satisfy to the last page. I previously read and loved Janice's historical novel "Hurricane," and this one joins as a new favorite. Can't wait for what she writes next.

This book grabbed me from page 1 and drew me into a world of people and places so memorable that I hated to come to the end of it. From the gorgeous cover to the fabulous humor inside, this novel has landed solidly on my keeper shelf!

This book was so much fun to read! I laughed out loud several times while reading the story. The characters were very likable without being "too perfect", which added alot of entertaining twists and turns. And the plot is complex enough that you don't figure out the entire story halfway through the book. I think this my favorite Janice Hanna book yet.
Well worth the time

This is a delightful book more than a cut above the norm for this type of novel. The characters are believable and the situations humorous, yet realistic (when did one's plans ever go according to schedule)? Hanna has crafted a book that's not the 'same old, same old' and has given her readers several hours of pleasure that will keep them entertained and amused. This is maybe the best to date from this author.
Wonderfully entertaining!

Love Finds You in Poetry, Texas was such a fresh, fun read! I fell in love with Belinda and Georg as well as the other couples who found love through Belinda's marriage broker's service. The quaint town comes to life through the poetic names of businesses and Janice's wonderful description. This is one of those "curl up on the couch with a big glass of sweet tea" kind of books. You simply can't put it down. Enjoy!
