Good Book for Teens

This book is a good read for teens--informative on the harsh realities of street life, sexual abuse, and AIDS. Eye-opening for any teen who's thought of running away from home.

The author writes about a painful subject in a loving way.

Sometimes a painful childhood is enough to make a child drop off the edge. Those reading this book probably haven't done so, or may just be teetering there. It's one thing to just write a dramatic story, but it's another to capture a painful life in a compassionate way that others not in that situation can follow and relate to. A well-written, important book at a time when homelessness and addiction are so prevalent, and even moreso for the children/teens who may be teetering...
