Sensual, Arabic, Passionate, Wandering

In both arabic and english, al-bayati calls the name of all of middle east history and legend. his love poems are very sensual, especially when read in arabic. but the translations are excellent and I recommend this to all.

Raving Poetic Justice

Love, Death, and Exile is a masterpiece of emotion and passion. The flow of Arabic language transformed into English is fantastic. Not only is the reader captivated by the language and voice of the poems, but one can find an understanding within the words. Among all great books, this book has not recieved the recognization that it deserves.
