Although this book may describe things in an advanced fashion, most people (and especially those with some college) will have no problem getting the gist. However, the truth of what she is writing might be somewhat grim for most people. There is a biological reason why women who have sporadic sexual encounters, as opposed to either regular sex or celibacy are not experiencing optimal health. I read and reread this book carefully and was astounded at the data. Also remember, this book is not based on junk science... the studies were carefully done with substantial sampling. Even if the studies were exploratory in nature, they would still be fascinating and give one pause. I recommend this book for any modern woman who wants to understand her own body and sexual health in a way that no sound byte is going to give you, and also explain alot of the depression, malaise and nonspecific ailments that abound. I think this book is simply too important to be ignored. I wish more research could be done along these lines and disseminated (no pun intended) to the general public.
