Men Made in America, Illinois

From boardroom to bedroom? Chairman of the board Worth Carson had been none too pleased when beautiful Amelia Glenn walked into his office wearing only a trench coat and a belly dancers costume. While revenge had been the primary goal on his mind, all thoughts of getting even soon vanished. This is one of Ms Palmers better efforts.

One of Diana's Best...

From my point of view, this is one of Diana Palmer's best novels. Book is about a man (Worth) who lives with his grandmother. A woman comes along (Amelia) and plays a prank on him at work by dressing up as a bellydancer. When Worth attempts to get revenge by sending her out to do the same thing to another person, Amelia loses her job. She is given one at Worth's house taking care of his grandmother. From there, their love begins. I really like this story because both characters are very strong. Worth is a quiet, keep to himself type of man. And unlike most of the other men in Palmer's books, he doesn't try to forget Amelia by going to another woman. In this case, he has more self control than the woman. A great male character. Amelia is one of the best females Palmer has created. At 28, she is still an innocent but more than willing. In this book, shes not a scared virgin, shes actually more passionate than Worth. Shes independent and not afraid to stand up for herself or tell Worth how she feels. She also isnt hypocritical about her "values". Overall, a great story with great characters. If you enjoy Diana Palmer's stories, i highly recommend this one.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! A MUST READ!

I love Diana Palmer's work. I've read nearly all of her books, but this was the one that first grabbed my attention. Worth Carson is a bull headed man and, as the heroine puts it, a giant dead fish. Amelia Glenn is a somewhat headstrong woman who, as in most of Diana Palmer's books, has next to no knowledge of men. Of course, they meet and sparks fly. The belly dancing sequence is funny as are most of the following events. but also there is the tension throughout that just keeps you turning the pages. I think that it is good in this day and age to have some innocence in a romance. I loved this. If anything would make me come to America, it would be this author's description's of the land and the men therein. I know that it can't all be true, but it sounds good to me! You want a good read and a relaxing evening with some amusement, buy this book. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
