I Got Robbed

I was expecting an exciting, good read but all I got was a long and drawn story about a strange detective with love and work issues. It appears that the author did not know if he wanted to explore Jason love life or concentrate on finding the rapist. I hated the enormous amount of time that he spent talking about Jason love life (TMI) and explicit. The chase between Ryan and Sasha sounds like a tv series and the attack and assault with Jason and Ryan was so unrealistic and made for a tv movie. This one disappointed me . I have read a few of the author's work and find that he is talented but he needs to learn to find intrigue and a good story with a spice of life. No one seems to write about the "guy next door" as if it is not prevalent. I am so tired of each novel full of rich folks with silly problems that I cannot deal with. This will be my last read from this author unless he improves his writing.

Excellent Book

I just finished reading Love and Justice and it is a combination of love, pain, sex, mystery and all around true to life story. You won't be able to put it down until you finish it! Rique put all the elements together in this book to keep you reading until you finish it and to pray that he writes a sequel!!!!!

Suspense filled!

This is a book that has it all! Love, intrigue, drama, and mystery. The characters are well developed and interesting. The ending is superb!! If you are looking for a novel that will grip you from beginning to end, look no further!!!! I can't wait for the next one!! Reading groups will love the dicussions that evolve after reading this book!

Suspense, Romance, Courage, Revenge

For months now, I have been reading the classics, from The Count of Monte Cristo to The Three Musketeers. No modern-day book's back cover had captured my attention until Love & Justice. Filled with action, this book is complete with suspense, romance, courage and revenge. This fast-paced novel revolves around the life of Jason Jerrard, Virginia City's "Boy Wonder" detective. Suspended Detective Jerrard literally collides with Sasha, his future new girlfriend, while in pursuit of a would-be car thief. As their relationship begins to flourish, Jason's crusade to catch the murderer-rapist who has been plaguing the city puts a slight strain on the new relationship. Then there is Julie, the ex-wife, who desperately wants Jason back and vainly goes through extreme measures to accomplish her desire. Love & Justice contains all of the elements I need in a book to keep my attention. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy overflowing-with-romance crime thrillers.

Steamy, Thrilling, Surprising

Love & Justice is a wonderfully written book. It focuses on Detective Jason Jerrard with the Virginia City police dept. and his unorthodox ways of catching criminals. Among the storylines are an ex-wife that wants him back, a serial rapist/killer on the loose, and a new girlfriend with issues of her own. I purchased this book (...)and couldn't wait to start reading it. Once I began, I didn't want to put it down. I loved the varying story lines and how the mystery slowly unfolded until everything came together. The ending left me surprised and speechless. The story was well thought out and well written. It's the kind of edge-of-your-seat book that I enjoy reading. I look forward to reading more!
