Fascinating true stories.

Amazingly detailed true stories of real people and their personal lives. Christopher Moore has obviously spent countless hours mining information from the surviving eighteenth-century documents of the colony of Ile Royale in order to reconstruct living history in a fascinating, readable format.

Five people

This is the story of five inhabitants of the colonial city of Louisbourg who lived and died. They had their dreams. They had their hopes. Some ended in tragic failure while others enjoyed great success. An interesting book to read for those interested in the period or in Louisbourg in peticular. Nicely written.
