Three runaway teens on a deserted New York beach come across a stranger, who lies motionless in the cold sand. Two of the teens want to grab his leather bag and run but the third is convinced that he needs help. As they argue about what to do, the man begins to awaken. His appearance leads them to believe that he is just another homeless man in the big city. Once they begin to converse with him, they all finally agree that he really does need their help but their help may not be enough. Once he is discovered, he will spend the next year fighting for his life.
