Look at Me!

This book has excellent ideas for crafts, activities, manipulatives and general learning for young children. I was particularly pleased to see activities appropriate for babies on up to elementary school age.The layout of the book makes it easy to take the suggestions and put them into action. Most items can be found around the average home which saves time and money on purchasing supplies. Unlike many children's activity/craft books, the author suggests things that I would actually want to and be able to do with my 3- and 1-year-old, without the hassles of finding specialized supplies, making huge messes or grandiose ideas that aren't practical with little ones.Another book that I found similarly appealing is EcoArt, which uses craft supplies that can be found in your recycle bin or using things growing in the yard.An excellent resource for parents of young children, day care providers, birthday party planners or anyone who wants to have fun interacting with young children.
