Longarm wants to brush off a county commissioner's claims that folks dying of natural causes have actually been murdered. He's got some pretty fillies to break instead. But it won't be long before he learns that the truth hurts-bad.
"Why even Longarm thought he made a mistake once.He was wrong about that ,of course."

Longarm didn't have his heart in this assignment, nor did Billy Vail think it was a worthwhile endeavor;but that all aside, sometimes Lawmen don't always make those decisions. So,Longarm heads out to see if there is a range war brewing between some sheepmen and farmers.Suspicions have arisen over some unusual deaths of relatively healthy men. He finds Weirville a town devided, and no love lost between factions;but none of the locals think there is anything wrong.Longarm spends sometime trying to get the dope on what is going on,meets up with some interesting characters;but it really isn't till someone takes a shot at him ,that he knows he is onto something. It is a fairly good storyline but a little too roundabout without much fast-action,and winds up rather uneventually in the last few pages. There have been both worse and better episodes in this series.
