In this episode we find Longarm heading to Pine Allley,Arizona ,looking for a fellow Lawman who's gone missing. To complicate matters he has the Lawman's rich eastern fiance in tow,who is little more than a pain in the neck;and even lower. It is a well written saga with lots of excitement always around the corner. Lots of interesting ,well developed characters and scenes of the Old West. Once again,Longarm ends up south of the US/Mexican border;where he is never welcomed by either owlhoots nor the Federales. In fact;his badge is more of a hinderance than a help,in this country. Although a good read, with hopes of wild ,fast-action shootouts seemingly inevitable a number of times; things conclude a little too calmly ,especially on Longarm's part. Life wasn't fair most of the time, but a man just had to soldier along and do the best that he could in this troublesome world."
