Book Overview

Married by Midnight
You're invited to a wedding . . . your own.
Come to the Cinderella Ball single and leave happily wed.

The Cinderella Ball is the chance of a lifetime for individuals to come together to find their special someone. Their one and only. Their soul mate. Obtaining a ticket isn't easy, but for those select few, it offers the chance at a lifetime of happiness.

At the tender age of seventeen, sweet, innocent Shayne Beaumont attended the Cinderella Ball and fell in love with rough-and-tumble wrangler Chaz McIntyre. But their marriage only lasted one night before her brother, Rafe (the hero from Fairy Tale Wedding, Book #3 in The Cinderella Ball Series) ripped them apart and had their marriage annulled. Now, she's back-older, wiser, and determined to find love again.

Cold, hard-hearted Chaz McIntyre has no choice. If he wants custody of his daughter, he must marry immediately. And though he hates the idea of returning to the Cinderella Ball, it's the only option if he wants an instant wife. And he finds one, a masked beauty who seduces him into marriage. It's only after the fact that he discovers it's the one woman he least wants to marry. His ex-love, Shayne.

But need outweighs all other considerations and he returns to his ranch with his wife, tasking her with putting together a home that will guarantee custody of his daughter. What he doesn't expect is for Shayne to peel away the wintery layers surrounding his heart, bit by painful bit. While Chaz struggles to deny love, his wife and daughter are equally determined to unleash the miracle of Christmas, the one holiday he swore he'd never again celebrate.

Q & A with Day Leclaire:

I understand you've actually received emails asking how to get a ticket to the Cinderella Ball? Is it real? If it isn't, how did you come up with the idea?
I have received emails requesting tickets And I know some people wish it did exist, but maybe it's better to keep the Cinderella Ball a fantasy. The idea for the ball actually came to me in a dream Thank goodness it was one of the dreams I actually remembered because I've had so much fun writing these stories

Can you tell us one interesting detail about this particular book?
I have to tell you, I loved this book, the writing process, as well as how it turned out. You never know if what you imagine will ultimately translate well onto the page. This time, I had a blast, particularly with the secondary characters. You'll have to tell me what you think. But I loved the Cinderella Ball so much, I had to write more books that take place there. You'll find them in The Salvatore Brothers Series, starting in January 2021.

Can you tell me what order to read the books? Absolutely Here you go:

Book #1: Fairy Tale Husband
Book #2: Fairy Tale Wife
Book #3: Fairy Tale Wedding
Book #4: Fairy Tale Marriage

Long awaited Love

This is the last book of the Fairytale weddings Cinderella Balls. And the last book I will read of Day Leclaire. Altthough the begining of the book left a lot to be desired by the way Chaz McIntyre treated Shayne Beaumont he never once asks her about why she wasn't at the other Cinderella Balls. Chaz is too busy having a pity party because he has found out he has a daughter Sarita and the child's Grandmother won't let Chaz have the child until he can provide both a home and a mother for Sarita. I'm sure if the tables had been turned and Shayne had surprised him with a child that wasn't his he would have raised the roof. But since he was unfaithful to his Long-Lost Bride, it was okay. It's not until almost the end of the book Chaz is confronted with the fact that Shayne was hurt badly in a car accident and that she was on her way to the Ball with it happened. Even Rafe stepped in to help Chaz see he wasn't the only one hurt when Rafe parted the newlyweds. Rafe is sorry but he soon sees he can't protect his sister for her only true love. This book has a lot of funny parts and Chaz isn't as mean as he pretends, but he is too mean to Shayne for my taste, since he does have a child by another woman.

Great read, a lovely ending.

I've read all this series & love this one the best. I liked the way that every chapter started with the letter Chaz wrote to Shayne every Christmas eve. It showed the real Chaz through those 9 long & lonely years they were apart. I don't think Day could have bettered the ending, it was perfect. I think this is one book I won't forget.

Long-Lost Bride

Back cover reads: Welomce to the Cinderella Ball: come single, leave wed! As if by magic, meet and marry your perfect partner--all on one special night... Shayne Beaumont dressed for the ball knowing she'd never meet a man she loved as much as her ex-husband. It was nince years since she'd been forced to annul her marriage to Chaz McIntyre. She'd never forgotten him, but she'd never seen him again... Chaz McIntyre had no idea who'd invited him to a masked ball. But he soon found himself proposing to a beautiful mystery woman! Only, she turned out to be Shayne, the woman he'd once loved beyond life. They both needed to marry--but could Chaz ever truly forgive his long-lost bride?

So Romantic!

What can I say? I adored this book! It was so romantic, so passionate. I just wished it could have gone on and on. Some of the scenes had me tearing up, but in a good way, if you know what I mean.Shayne and Chaz meet at a marriage ball and marry. They knew each other years ago and her family interfered, so they ended up going their seperate ways, even though they've never forgotten their affair. But now they have another chance, if only she can convince him of that. He also has a daughter and this wicked witch of a grandmother-in-law. There are some really funny scenes with her. This is one of those great stories where he's gone sort of hard and bitter (but not over the top) and she manages to get through to him and make him fall in love all over again. The little girl is darling, but not too cute. And Shayne is wonderful, getting everyone together just in time for Christmas. This is a GREAT story. One of my top ten favorites.I also recommend the book that goes with this one, Bridegroom on Approval. They both take place at the marriage ball, but they're not really connected except for that. I couldn't even tell you which one I liked better. I just finished this one and am still in that "Oh, God, I love this" stage. But the other book left me feeling the same way, so maybe I should write a review for that one, too!
