ISBN 0373257910 - For hilarious romance-novel-esque lines, The Lone Wolf lets me down and only gives us "She can analyze and calculate like a computer and kiss like the hottest temptress since Eve." Disappointing my quest for those lines is a good thing, though! Reese Barrett witnesses daily the kind of love he'd like to have in his life - unfortunately, he's witnessing it from the outside. Trying to win that kind of love for himself, he places an ad in Texas Men, a lonely hearts, hunk of the month sort of publication that connects singles. Through the magazine, he meets Natalie, a young teacher with whom he feels an instant connection. He doesn't have a lot of time to pursue his postal romance, however, because he's taking on more work while his friends (and bosses), Belle and Cade, prepare for the arrival of their first child. To help with the workload, Belle asks her friend Shea to come to the winery for six weeks. Shea's not used to dealing with men, but she's very good at business. She and Reese clash immediately and constantly. It's a good thing she's decided to educate herself about men by answering a few ads in Texas Men. The bad news is, she created a fake persona and has been writing to several men as Natalie... When it all comes out, will Reese be able to understand, or will he feel betrayed? The three old guys who hang around the town square are a nice touch, and I was glad to see they stuck around all the way to the end. I expect the ending left it possible for stories about Logan Walker or Devlin O'Brian to follow, but I'd like to read Old Walt's romance! - AnnaLovesBooks
