Clean Love Story with a Clear Message

Bossy, busy, business woman Casey Hardy is CEO of the family company and charged with expanding with a location in Galveston, Texas. She is bent on proving herself more than capable to her family. English investors have sent Barrett Westbrook to see if Casey's company is worthy of their client. Barrett has failed at every endeavor in his father's legal company in England. He has this one last chance to find his niche in his family's business. Mae has cleverly revealed each character's strengths and flaws as each tries to fulfill what they think is their destiny. They are so real that there are times when I wanted to whack each one up alongside the head and give them my advice - but then the book would have ended a lot sooner. They eventually look to their Maker rather than their own resources and give us all lessons we can learn about our own lives. Ray Ruppert, Author of "The Sovereign Reigns, or Does He?" "The Sovereign's Last Battle" and "Revelation: A Layperson's Reflections"

Cultures, Personality, and jobs leading to a Romantic Ending

Casey Hardy is a control person who is set on owning her own Home Improvement Store that is owned by her family. She finally gets a chance and is sent to Texas. A Company in England is interested in investing in the property and sends Barrett Westbrook, a lawyer, to look it over and give his recommendations. As you read about Casey and Barrett's interaction and trying to stay close to each other to get the answers they both need, you learn about the human element that draws them closer together. Their faith and morals stand out as you read their prayers. Barrett decides he has to give Casey an unfavorable review but it backfires on him and his family invests in the company anyway. You read about Indian artifacts uncovered and how Indians and the town council come to an understanding. There is a lot to learn about Big Busines and some of the problems facing them. There are lessons on learning to let others do their jobs and not try to control every aspect of their job. What I liked was how men and women are so different and can be hard on each other and yet drawn together. I would recommend this book to everyone who is going through a period where they have mistrust of someone (like Lawyers), etc. and see how barriers sometimes can be broken down.

Fantastic! I love the cultural crossover

This was fantastic. I love books that capture characters from two different cultures (british and american in this case), and Mae Nunn does this really well, and with wit and humor. I love this book.
