Locke, a Chinese town in Sacramento Delta

It is a good collection of vintage photos on the Chinatowns of Sacramento Delta. Locke was the only Chinatown funded, built and lived by Chinese in early twenty century. Tour of main street is like a time machine back to the early days with the tongs and a Chinese gambling den. The one room Chinese school is a museum. The state of California turned the old boarding house into a state park to see the migrant workers evolution on the room setting, especially the beddings from mat to metal spring. This book help preserve old memories.
